Annoying Ad scrolling up from the bottom of page

I understand advertising is necessary to fund this forum but if it is so annoying, the advertiser can be sure I will NEVER buy anything from them. Having the ad scrolling up from the page bottom just as one is about to click on anything in this area really puts me off. Anybody else affected by this odd behavior? No other site I ever visited ever had this "feature".
