The one I got was option "C" here: (internal PCB for M.2 SSD)

CASE...

I have to read up about how you get the PI5 to boot from the M.2 SATA rather then the SD card, but I expect it can't be that hard....


I boot from an official 512GB Raspberry Pi M.2 card. As long as you have a hat for connecting it, it's simple to set up. Heck, even I did it!
Just prepare the card with Raspberry Pi Imager then go into the Raspberry Pi setup program and change the boot device. Reboot and enjoy the higher speed. There's no need to manually edit configuration files anymore.
