I have designed, built and tested several PM-generators form asynchronous motors. My experiences are described in my publik report KD 341 which can be copied for free from my website: www.kdwindturbines.nl at the menu KD-reports. If you use the original motor winding, you get a rather high voltage and a low current (see for instance measurements as given in reports KD 78, KD 82 and KD 200).
