Godoh said  Hi Wiseguy, I guess the other thing to do is to take some manual control of the system.
Turn the Grid off for the majority of the time, when the batteries are full then turn the grid on for a while to export but turn it off again at night and see how things go.
The grid charging you for non existent power usage is bad , they already get enough with their daily connection charges.

Hi Pete, of course that was my first thought too But I didnt spend $20K+ to become a slave to my system. I need to remember to turn it off & on, I need to also be here and I need to know when the batteries are full again for the correct time to turn it back on.
Its doable for a few days to prove a point. I am after a set and forget solution as we want to travel for weeks at a time. The Sig system does have the hardware built in for galvanic isolation as it is intended to still run the house if the grid stops seamlessly.

When I emailed Sig this morning, I suggested it would be great to have an ability to enter a user variable value from +20W to -20W so a user can either set to never export or never import at idle by choice. And depending on the quality of the mains you could set/trim to a lower value for your situation to waste less of your storage.  Ill post their response....
