Your suggestion is an excellent one. MMBasic has grown over many years and now supports a wide variety of hardware platforms, which can indeed be confusing for newcomers.

I already added an overview table of the different MMBasic systems in the introduction, but I like your idea of a tree structure even better. It would give readers a quick visual overview of the available dialects and their target hardware. I'll add it to my to-do list.
