This is the mob he got his from, its a 5kw grid connect, with island mode (48v LA batts), one interesting feature is that during the day, after the batts are fully charged, the inverter uses the panels to run the house directly, no consumption from the mains unless its more than the panels can supply, then it uses as much from the panels as it can, with the rest coming from the grid

it of course exports the excess from the panels back to the grid if the house isnt using it in his case, apparently that can be turned off, as some companies in his location refuse to allow solar backfeeds at allEdited by Boppa 2018-07-03
