Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I don't post much anymore but occasionally I pull a rabbit out of the hat. I have a friend (yes a cute blond young lady) for whom I have set up a power system. Second hand batteries and panels, but it works, she has a fridge!!!! My point, To get the batteries up to equalize I reverse engineered a welder, you know one with the amp adjustment on a knob on the front.
So I removed enough windings from the secondary to suit a 12v system (yes I know horribly inefficient) and with all appropriate add ones a charger has evolved. and for the first time the batteries are equalizing. Something I believe needs doing weekly as flooded lead acid battery's age.
