Came accross this today, there's not a lot of info on them as yey but would be intetesting to see where it goes.

Dr Karl K (can't spell his name) suggested in a book of his that all roads could be photovoltaic and the area would be more than enough to power all of Australia. Just have to figure out a way to make them support over weight trucks.
It was calculated that 100 km^2 of PV cells would be enough for all of Australia too.

Anybody

Anyone know where these tiles can be purchased? I have a flat roof and wouldn't mind tiling it with these puppies. My roof (little trailer) is approximately 200 square feet.

If you follow the link & go to the right hand side of the screen & click on the contact you can send a message to them but they dont guarantee a reply & in the info I got through Email they wont be out for sale until late this year But you would think that they have lined up suppliers already.

shading affects all panels seriously, dirt, leaves, people etc
roofs are a better idea.

they would have to be dirt cheap -which you can guarantee they wont be!
