Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

This is truly amazing.

The building was abandoned back in the 80's I think it was, and was sitting there getting vandalized and stolen from, and MANY a urban-explorer did videos of just how run-down it was.

Ford spent about 750 MILLION dollars totally refirbishing the building, and it now looks superb, and filled with life again.

This is something of an exception rather then the rule.  MOST abandoned buildings, end up becoming so bad, that they are simply demolished.  It is very rare, to have a building in that state of decay, brought back to life again, SIMPLY because it requires SO MUCH CASH to do work like that.

Thank you, Ford, for putting up the cash.  An amazing amount of cash.  You could PROBABLY simply rebuild from the ground-up, for 750 million or so, so this is amazing commitment to restoring a building.

Video...

There are MANY other vidoes about this restoration - and RIGHTLY so.
