Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I remember these ads from my youth, but although targeted at the NZ market, I expect many an Aussie would also relate to these kinds of ad.

AD #1...

AD #2...

AD #3....

AD #4....

To the rest of the world - yes, this IS how Toyota marketed farm vehicles to the NZ market at the time, and it WORKED - Toyota sold a PLETHORA of vehicles into NZ via these ads.

Oh, THAT one is an absolute classic!
Nice one, my son!

At the time that was on-air, you guessed it - the fun-police people with no sense of humor at all, complained about the word being used.  As a fellow kiwi, do you remember that?

Billy Connolly even referenced it during one of his NZ tours.

I remember the Ad. shown on TV for only a short while, but came back at a later date. I think the fun police got overruled.

Toyota also had other Ad's with bulls driving a ute; in Aussie they had a series of similar but different Ad's.
