Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

WARNING: Bit of a rant.
Listening to Automatic For The People tonight on YT Music, and it stopped on track 4.
Everybody Hurts - generates a content warning now, FFS. "Suicide or self-harm topics"?!! That is INSANE.
It's a song about everyone feeling sad from time to time. We all have our ups and downs, but NOW - NOW, this song is a suicide risk?! (rhetorical) If you read the f-ing lyrics, it explicitly encourages people to NOT do that. It encourages people to hang on, cos tomorrow you will probably feel better.
Doesn't sound like the song is encouraging you to take a jump, it looks like the song is saying that you need to NOT do anything stupid. All the other lyrics suggest the exact same thing. This is NOT a suicidal song, it is an ANTI-suicide song.
Censorship is just totally NUTS now. They read utter crap into things, without even CONSIDERING the context of what is being said.
In all the years I have played this song, I never ONCE considered this song to be a suicidal risk, and I have been taking depression meds for DECADES now. But someone did, and has tagged it as such, and now we have a community warning on it?!
Getting REALLY sick of the thought-police.

I doubt any one at YT actually listened to it. My guess is a speech-to-text program at YT found flagged words and threw the warning up without human intervention.

Yeah, after I posted the thread - and calmed down a little - I figured it was probably AI that decided that. I'd like to challenge it, but the "Warning" has not popped up again, despite my playing that song a few more times, to try to get that message again, so I could "Report" it for utter BS.Smoke makes things work.
