I was surprised to see there wasn't topic dedicated to just this.. Hydro power.

Any folks out there that might be able to assist me on my quest?

I will be asking for formula's to determine capability.

Calling out to those that have and those that how to.

Fisher & Paykel Micro Hydro

This is the longest topic on hydro on "the back shed", its not a bad read!

Its a bit hard for some of us to get much practical experience with hydro gear.

Around me its too flat and too dry!

I have collected a lot of formulas and data for calculating heights and flows/rpm etc over the years, finding it all might be a different story.Edited by yahoo2 2014-06-19

I've been reading through the thread and as I develop more questions (as it tends to do) I re-read.

I would love to see your formula's and how they work.

Currently my question revolves around the Penstock.

I currently have formula's to measure the stream/dam's capability (always open to more to compare).
The Penstock seems to be the way to increase the capability by increasing the PSI to run the generator.
This is my latest quest.
The formula to see what those gains and losses are.
