I installed a solar pool heating system last year for our spa. It works just fine in the summer months but I seem to be losing some efficiency in the winter because the roof temperature has to be greater than 8 degrees above the pool temp to enable the system to kick in. I would like to trim that to say 5 degrees. Has anyone any experience with the 'Aquasun 2' controller from Dontek? Are there any schematics around?

As an after-though perhaps this is an opportunity for an electronics project with the picaxe devices? Anyone been there?
