Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi,
Many years back the installer placed the aircon outside where we wanted the evaporator inside. Judging by the comment of a recent gas bottle deliverer, the placement of the aircon between the gas bottles and the gas H/W system is illegal as it is too close? The gas fitter (plumber) certainly knew the correct distance between bottles and H/W system.
The aircon is an inverter and as you can imagine, all the switching is no longer done via arcing mechanical relays.
As a prospective purchaser may ask for an electrical certificate (smoke detectors, RCDs, etc.), I can see funds draining away. Can I get away with it being an old house at least in the aircon case? I know these days it needs RCDs for power AND light, smoke alarms galore, etc.
Thanks.Taxation as a means of achieving prosperity is like a man standing inside a bucket trying to lift himself up.
