I tried to delete all this stuff , sorry .

Anyhow, I have a metal lathe and I want to ask if anyone knows a source of "Belting material " compressed fibre and canvas belting that would be 25 mm wide ,5.5mm thick and be sold in a roll length ,so I could sew it to make a drive belt for my lathe.  

I thought it would be available fairly easy-I have spent a couple hours on the phone nd nobody sort of knows much about it..

That seems the way we are heading nowadays-CHUCK IT AWAY AND BUY A NEW ONE  ???. NOT GOOD.

Any help would be appreciated,

Oh, forgot to say, Yes, I can buy it from England or usa ,but I'm thinking of Aus.

Dunno what you are Googling but about two secs had these

flat belt
and
flat belt 2
Strong like horse smart like tractor!
