Only those of a certain age would quickly recognise the two characters. CNC'd from a piece of 230mm wide pine, sanded and varnished. The cut is 4mm deep, made in two 2mm passes, I find the router has trouble cutting anything deeper. One tip I learnt, if applying thick coats of varnish, allow a couple of day to dry between coats or the varnish will wrinkle. ![]() ![]() ![]() There is a recess at the back to hang on a nail. On picture it looks that some kind of dust removal would be good idea, as dust can be seen half way up the motor. George |

Yeah a dust removal system is on the to do list. I want something thats not going to draw a 1000 watts and make too much noise, so that rules out the workshop vac. Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. JAQ |

Here is a vac if you have a air compressor. They work very well. Excellent for sucking dirt out of tires ect 2ND idea use a 100mm fan to blow through a venturi and suck the dust from an elbow in the centre. eg old carburetor or steam injector principle Have a 2" plastic guard around router and suction that. bring hose off at angle to compliment the direction of router. Washing machine pump out hose very flexible. 3/4 to 1" dia. set up below bench, gravity help dust down. only need stocking/panty hose over top of dust bucket. Blow in from side of bucket to create a clockwise whirly wind, help separate dust vacuum at dentist created by water through venturi. lets not think how much water down the drain.
