Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Geoff et al,
NOT a high priority but I've just spent a 'while' searching for the 'PAGE' command in the manuals (I knew it was there). Is there some way to omit the Page No. from searches or can the word 'Page' not be used at all?

Cheers,

Andrew

Whats Your opinion?

While reading manual I just wondered, would it be usefull to add additional Note about MODE 1 and COLOUR fore [, back] or COLOR fore [, back] ?

Something like this, but in proper english

"If default TILE HEIGHT 12 is left unchanged and FONT 1 or 3  is used in PICOMITE VGA/HDMI, then user can use COLOR command for color printing using PRINT command with no need to use TILEs."

Print @(x,y) with FONT 1 or 3 and carefully calculated coordinates also prints in color. But I do not know how to formulate this in english properly

It`s up to You decide if it has some rational value or not
But i did not noticed any mention about this relationship in current manual.

GETSCANLINE VGA VERSION ONLY

I used GETSCANLINE in USB/HDMI/2350 to display sprite movement nicely.
Both OPTION RESOLUTION 800 and 640 ; MODE 1,2 & 3
So, manual might need some update?

Geoff,

This may not be the correct thread for a 6.00.03 or later user manual, but I would like to indicate that the user manual (6.00.03) still lists M (mono) mode for PLAY SOUND. M generated "out of phase" sound on both channels. And that is not supported anymore.

Geoffg said  This is the first draft of the user manual for the PicoMite 6.00.01 and we are looking for any comments and corrections.

PicoMite_User_Manual.pdf

We have moved to a single manual covering all variants (Pico, Pico 2, Pico W and Pico 2 W).  With a dozen firmware variations it was just not practical to have a manual for each variant.

If you spot anything wrongs I would be grateful if you would post it in this thread.

Thanks,
Geoff

Do you mean 6.01.00? If not, then why change a manual older than 6.00.03?

I guess he used this thread as there isn't a thread for the latest manual.

In the latest version (Revision 2 26 August 2025) this has been deleted.
It is difficult to keep up with these small manual updates but I have not found a better way to do it.
