Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Mixtel90 said  ... Confusingly, there are two "standards" (Qwiic and Stemma QT) that use I2C on the same 1mm pitch JST connector but with different coloured wires.

At least Qwiic and Stemma QT use the same pinout. Wemos/LOLIN have been producing boards with a JST 1 mm I²C connector for years (possibly at least as long as SparkFun's Qwiic) and it has SDA/CLK swapped w.r.t. Qwiic/Stemma QT.

And only two standards? There's also Grove, (full-size) Stemma, Octopus (2.54 mm pitch) and a few others, all vying to be the easy-connect standard.

The nice thing about standards is that there are so many of them to choose from. :)

It's always better to create your own, I've found. At least no-one can tell you that it's non-standard. :)
