Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Forum Index : Microcontroller and PC projects : PM - can't copy 47k BMP to A: drive - says no space left....

This is interesting. MMBASIC 5.0706, VGA version.

To be sure everything was wiped, first I issued the command: DRIVE "A:/FORMAT"
That worked.

Next, I tried to copy a small 47k BMP file to the A: drive, and the PM moans there is not enough space.

MM.INFO(DISK SIZE) says 786k free.

WTF?

EDIT: Might be a bug from an earlier version.  I will update the FW.

Try
copy "rictech2.bmp" to "A:/rictech.bmp"
Your current statement isn't valid syntax
You can only use "a"/" when copying from a directory. Of course the version you are using is so old who knows what else may be the issue

Great, that did fix the copy, but as you say.....
I will update the FW before I do anything else.
Been a long day and I also have the flu, so my brain is not firing on all six cylinders as it should, I guess.
