I have a desktop and a laptop running Linux Mint. I want to add a fingerprint reader to save using my password. There are plenty of USB Fingerprint readers out there but will they work. Linux Mint supports finger print readers but will a USB one work. "It is better to be ignorant and ask a stupid question than to be plain Stupid and not ask at all" |

The new Linux Mint version comes with a new app for managing fingerprints. I don't know if it works with and USB fingerprint reader. https://blog.linuxmint.com/?m=202506 I'm using Fedora and my laptop fingerprint reader works fine, with no need of extra configurations. It was completely out of the box. I only needed to register my finger print. |
