Help. I am brand new to my CMM2. I seem to be going in circles. I have fitted the button battery for the clock, and as per included printed instruction entered OPTION DS3231 ON However, when I request date$ or time$ I get a date of 1/1/2000. Time and date don’t seem to set but revert to a default. And every time I power on I am asked to re-enter Keyboard type, time and date. It does not seem to store my inputs. Have I missed something? |

Have you initially set the date$ and time$ i.e. Date$="21/10/25" Time$="18:10:00" Should work with and without the OPTION DS3231 ON setting. (uses the ARM chips RTC.) F4 H7FotSF4xGT |

Thanks disco4now. It worked, and all is well. It now boots to the title screen and > I assumed that the initial selecting keyboard type and entering time and date would set the clock. I feel a right git. |

Thanks for the welcome Mixtel90. The CMM2 arrived a few hours ago and I am looking forward to revisiting my days with ZX81, TI99/4A, and Quick Basic days of the 80’s. |

Thanks for the welcome Pete. Looking forward to my time here. I have a lot to learn re MMbasic, and a lot to recall from the 80’s and 90’s though it is slowly coming back to me. As soon as I get my eye back in with Basic (and all the modern enhancements) I’m looking forward to trying my hand at the GPIO port and having some fun with electronic control. And it’s only Day 2, lots more fun ahead. |

Thanks for the welcome Grogster. I’ll look at DEMOX tonight. I have just managed to get the CMM2 working on my HDMI TV/Monitor with an eBay adapter, so now large screen and comfortable sitting position. And I did find Scott Adam’s Pirate Adventure on the Welcome Tape, last played that in about 1983 on an old TI-99 4A. Thankfully I remembered to put on shoes before saying “Yoho”. Back to my youth……. |
