Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

What a flashback !

I sold a number of these to schools in Halmstad/Sweden.

Configured as 16 machines in a multiuser network.

How did networking work on machines like that?
Were they all just UART with full handshaking?
Or did they use some other kind of more specific networking protocol?
I'm just curious, as I know nothing of how they used to network old machines like these.

If I remember correctly, it was a multiuser OS (MP/M)
or similar, the workstations were run as terminals.
File sharing was provided in Basic.
There were quite thick cables to the workstations.
