Recently a backshed member sent me one of their preassembled Pico Computer 3 boards complete with end plates, case, and wifi chip ready to solder on. It looks very nice. Hats off to toml_12953 for the board and Peter for the design! I have been quite busy as life has changed recently, but yesterday I had the chance to solder on the wifi chip to the board and then prompted claude to create a profile.bas program - to test out the available hardware and ensure my hand soldering job was up to spec. It runs through the system hardware, offering reports on each and saving a log file at the end. In case this may be of use to anyone else testing their new boards, I figured I;d share. Attached are the .bas program & readme.md files (compressed in a .zip file) and below is an example of the output: PicoComputer3_profiler.zip ====================================================================== PICO COMPUTER 3 -- SYSTEM PROFILER 08-08-2026 12:52:56 ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. I was finding the bottom of the case was fairly warm, and then stumbled across this post: https://www.thebackshed.com/forum/ViewTopic.php?FID=16&TID=18919&LastEntry=Y#257894#257766 But after some minor brain surgery it's running cool now. |
