G'day Guy's well as this new V0.16 just came out in the manual I did read no USB as a CDC so claude downloaded all the tools and now with this link to my github a 32 gig USB is loaded at bootup. Now I did ask the question as this pico 3 board does have wifi and bluetooth my next port will be a pairing app so a bluetooth keyboard/mouse can be used and today I will get a bluetooth speaker so mp.3's can be played. Well time to drive down the hill and a very productive morning. Regards Bryan Edited 2026-08-26 11:53 by Bryan1 |

Well I was at JB-HI's floor at 9am this morning and bought a Flip6 BT Speaker now here I am at 2pm and finally got it connected in club.py and played "stairway to heaven" in great clarity Now my goal is to get BT connected at boot just like the new addition of a USB stick which is listed and produce a new version of the .uf2 firmware. I do have to say this micro-python has me hook line and sinker and with me asking claude to include the USB this computer can now completely make my own .uf2 files.By the end of the day I hope to make a full MP.3/Flac/Wave page with a future option to convert the file types as the goal of the best sound is what we want. Now picture quality is still one huge job to do as no photo quality pictures have been seen in all my efforts. Regards Bryan |

Well getting there now got the flip 6 playing in club.py and set up a page for BT so one can see whats around, got a whole new media player in the works and for the first time since I have gone the micro-python route got my first song playing on the Flip 6 Now I have told claude BT must be at boot level so the speaker is discovered and going into fm() will play song with no club.py involved and it's master plan has now got 5 new additions from me as we go into the 7th hour. I am determined to get this all sorted today and out of the way as that 10" IPS screen should be here tomorrow. Now Peter every github done does point to yours so you can approve aswell as my github as you are the person to get me into this mess in the first place Don't worry my moonshine is keeping me going today where 2 year old peat malt is the bottle of the day as they do say a dram a day keeps the doctor away. Now will this become a 12 hour day where I stumble out of my shed saying I've done it.... Regards Bryan |

Ok now onto 11 hours and got a huge USB bottleneck to fix before a playlist can be done in club.py. Now some good news got BT working along side with wifi and now onto the 9th flash so getting closer. When one logins to club.py press the pair button on the Flip 6 and it's paired by the time the ticker comes around so thats a huge goal. With flash#9 I can a #10 coming very soon as this usb bottleneck saga continues |

OK Guy's I can finally announce V0.17 here Now for those non github users PICO_COMPUTER_3_v0.017_firmware.zip Now just load club.py after flashing the new firmware and have a BT speaker near by to pair. by the time the ticker goes across the screen the speaker is connected. Got a few songs playing using the sdcard but USB is tomorrows work. Try it out guy's as this can only get better and the 64gig USB stick format on the board was a bonus today It's all in the files so enjoy Regards Bryan |
