Sacred monsters!

I came from Basic and Pascal. String manipulation in C was (and is) a nightmare for me (well, also the cryptic constructions and shortcuts). Apart of that, a great language. It was the main reason in moving to Linux.

What about UNIX. Dennis helped develop UNIX as well.
