Hi folks This my first post so hope someone can help
I have been using a maximite for a few months and somehow I have damaged the chip.
everything was working ok.
I obtained a new chip from Silicon Chip and installed it together with an upgrade of the software .All ok except that I cannot access the SD card . I understand that the Sd card is on the b drive and have changed directories to suit but to no avail.
I have checked and rechecked all the connections including the card in and lock.
I have difficulty beleiving that it is a chip fault bu I suppose it is possible.
Any help would be gratefuly received

You could start by checking the 3.3 volt rail. Some SD cards have a very narrow voltage window (+/- 0.2v).
Also have a look through the posts from last year as there was a lot of discussion on this subject in the beginning.

Thanks Mathew. The volts were 2.68 so were within the limits. I did another continuity check and found one of the pins not soldered properly I fixed that and now working ok Thanks again Jeff j

Hi Jeff,
You need to look at your 3.3 volt side of things as 2.68 volts is very low.

Its easier to ask forgiveness than to seek permission!
