Silicon Chip Interview at Electronex =============================== From Australian Electronics Newsgroup: On 14-Sep-12 1:23 PM, David L. Jones wrote: Some might be interested in a quick interview video I did with Nicholas Vinen and Leo Simpson from SC at the Elctronex show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYCiksNEhNI Dave. www.eevblog.com =============================== As usual, nice work Dave. Was bad timing when Leo Simpson walked into the booth, as it meant that the colour MaxiMite didn't get any coverage as a project in your video interview. However it was interesting that he was talking about a revamped Silicon Chip web site with a mechanism to view the magazine on line, the same as it appears in print. There are a lot of comments on The Back Shed Forum, about the current digital edition of Silicon Chip magazine, all of them negative I'm afraid: http://www.thebackshed.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=5135&PN =2 I do hope SC get it right, for themselves, their readers, and their advertisers. I believe it really could be a world beater. Don... https://www.dontronics.com |

It is possible that Dave didn't realized that the next was a Color Maximite Computer... What about sending one for a proper review (from an engineer point of view) ??? Would love to see the comments on his youtube channel/forum/blog... Hobbit name: Togo Toadfoot of Frogmorton Elvish name: Mablung Miriel Beyound Arduino Lang |

My only experience with Dave to date on sending an item for review: I sent him a MaxiMite SM1, when we first produced them, and got good feed back, but basically is was negative regarding the concept, and no video review. After this, I started a thread with a view to getting Dave involved in the MaxiMite, and Dave joined up as a member. I had hoped to convince him of the worth of the MaxiMite. Make up your own mind about what he said: http://www.thebackshed.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3887&KW =Maximite+and+the+EEVblog. It won't be me that sends him a colour Maximite as I don't have one to send and have never seen one in action. I hope to soon, when Mick produces his UBW32-CMM add-on board. BTW. I enjoy Dave's videos, but I can't help on this one. Don... https://www.dontronics.com |
