Hi to all!

I want to share my little SimpleMite project with you. I developed this one-sided board to quickly test something with the MicroMite.

It can be equipped with an SMD 78L33ACUTR or a THT LT1121CZ-3.3.

You need only two wire bridges on the TOP

...all other components are on the BOT...

You can program it directly with a PICKit3 without external power supply:

...and you can use it with a USB-SERIAL dongle (like PL2303)...

...it's breadboard friendly when you solder longer pins

All pins are led out and the console can be connected directly.

I have no PCB's to sell, but here are the Gerberfiles:2018-07-20_190306_SimpleMite_Gerber.zip

my first foray into SMD mites was something similar - I just wanted a breakout board with all the power and VCap linked up so I just plug it in and start playing - has been a great success. I have gone through three iterations of the board, the first was a very simple beast that was a small as possible on 0.1" spacing (to the point it wasn't breadboard friendly but fine for it's target of mounting in other equipment)

V2 was a bb freindly version with some small mods and V3 is a better silkscreen and a programming port for firmware upgrade. - I have a programming adaptor for 28 pin SOIC devices and I blow the latest stable MMBasic into all the devices so upgrading isn't generally an issue - the thing is got working and then it ends up in some dark cupboard or roof-space for the rest of its life doing the same thing day in day out.

get the PCBs done 50 at a time from JLC and it takes about 10mins to assemble each one. 170s arrive in tubes of 20 at a time when needed and I just rattle them out with the adaptor on the pickit3.

Any that I feel might need an upgraded firmware get a V3, others get a V1 or 2

I plan a version using SSOP to get the width down a bit but 1) there isn't much to gain as I want 0.1mm connection pads, 2) never soldered 0.65mm before

This is V2 - My first version had no programming interface either...
Normally I develop complex SMD boards - but this one has proven to be very useful.
