Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hello all, it is amazing to see that 6.00.02 is close to a formal release with associated documentation.
Thank you all for the work on it - as a newbie it is amazing to see how quickly MMBasic evolves.

I have just printed the full .01 manual - and if possible I would like to avoid printing the full .02 manual. Will there be maybe a PDF summary of the changes so I can print only that?

Thank you so much for sharing your insights.

Maybe one of the PDF tools would help with that.

(pdfdiff etc)

Sorry, but I'm not planning on doing that.  However, Peter often produces a change log which is almost as good.

In the past I tried using Word's document compare feature to highlight the new text but it created a corrupted mess - perhaps the manual and its formatting has got too complicated for that to work.

Just wait for the manual...  :)

I've tried to keep up with changes previously. Now I prefer to stick with a release long enough for me to actually do something with it other than test it!

Peter lists what changes have been made each time he does a release candidate. That's the closest you're likely to get to a change log. Everything else is just interim changes, which may or may not appear in a release candidate.

@Amiga
You were faster! I asked ChatGPT about it today, and it confirmed your assumption.
Quote  Me: “Can you also compare large PDF documents?”

Quote  ChatGPT: “Yes, I can compare large PDF documents if you upload them. I can analyze:

- Textual differences (content, paragraphs, phrasing)

- Structure (e.g. chapter order, formatting)

- Tables, command lists, parameter changes

- And more specifically: What has changed?, What is missing?, What has been added?

You can upload both PDFs at once and tell me what you're specifically interested in:

- Full comparison

- Or for example: 'Compare only the list of BASIC commands' or 'Only differences in the file management section'

Once you're ready, just upload both PDFs – I’ll handle the rest.”

I'll try it when the new manual is ready.
