Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

It has been drawn to my attention that MMCC is cluttering up the clipboard when running.
This is due to some debug messages I forgot to disable.

The attached ZIPs contain Windows 64 bit and Windows 32 bit/XP versions of MMCC.exe
If you are using V5.3.1 or V5.3.2, replace your exe with the relevant version.

I will do a more complete fix and update the main download in a couple of days.

MMCC_32.zip

MMCC_64.zip

The main download file has been updated to V5.3.3
The only change is the bug fix.

If you provide me with the machine to program on and a promise that I will live long enough, I might consider it but don't hold your breath.

Mac's used to have software similar to Wine but I am not sure if you can run Intel code on the new Macs.

I do have one of the original Macs in the shed somewhere and is the closest I get to Macs.

Another user has advised me that the MMEdit archive has a virus. The same one as reported a couple of weeks ago.
This time I have been instructed to:
Quote  Please check, remove rectify, re-serve Trojan free.

To that user, I strongly recommend that he uses another editor. There are plenty to choose from.
I can never guarantee that any antivirus program is not going to declare a virus.

As far as the supposed virus goes. I admit that I am a third rate amateur programmer at best but I do NOT write viruses.
Windows decided that a Linux executable (ports) within a Linux archive was a threat to Windows.
I don't think so, but I am not skilled enough to argue with Microsoft.

The silly thing is the Linux utility in question was written by a programmer much more skilled that I am. I am confident that he didn't produce a virus either.

Hi Jim,

Maybe you can help me. I see a formatting problem in MMedit5.3.3 with PIO.
Maybe it is caused by the program (it has been created by the internal pico editor, and tranferred to MMedit). It may have some hidden characters in it that cause this.

This is the program

sin_gen_test.zip

The formatting looks pretty decent. But when I "autoformat" in MMedit you see this:

The PIO assemble commands are all at the left edge
And after this there are like 10 tab's left of all code.

Any idea ? This is MMedit5.3.3 (the issue is the same on 5.3.1) on Ubuntu Linux 20.04 still.

Thank you in advance

Volhout

EDIT: I think it is caused by MMedit itself. The number of indent tabs for the rest of the program after PIO ASSEMBLE is identical to the number of lines that start with PIO ASSEMBLE. Something accumulating .... When I use the new structured format for PIO assemble all is sound.

A similar thing happened with the latest MMB4W beta. The solution was to get updated Windows runtime files from MS. See this thread

Hi, You have worked it out. I configured the indents to suit the new style.
I will have a look at your sample program and stop the indents accumulating.

Provide that some new medication I am about to try works as hoped, I will have an update in a few days.

@Stan,
It looks like your MMCC.inf file has a bad/corrupted setting. Try deleting the file and let MMCC create a new one.

Before you do, in MMEdit/Help/Copy inf files and send me a copy.

@Phil,
MMEdit doesn't use VC so not relevant here.
