Has anyone tried to get to maximites (or variants of) to communicate with each other via SPI?

Certainly been done with 232:

thanks Don,

I have seen that but RS232 is just a bit slow I was wanting higher speed comms as i have an idea that requires faster communications.
fyi i am experimenting with using one unit as normal with a second as a graphics processor.

You can also use RS485 with a UART, can be as fast as SPI and good for long distances.

Are the two processors on the same PCB?
