Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I have windows xp. I downloaded the driver. I will check the device manager. The annoying thing is that this was working ok over a year ago now although I had to press the enter key on the lap top to get the prompt.
Geoff has suggested I try downloading the driver. (again)? I will also try the putty connection before plugging in the maximite. Thanks guys. I really want to get this going again. All my previous computer control was with the sinclair zx81 and this maximite is similar but with a modern computer interface which is causing the problems.

Don't start a new topic, just keep using the first one or there will be no continuity.
I tried Putty long ago and had problems. I strongly suggest downloading TerraTerm, it is what Geoff suggests to use. Or download MMEdit, you will find a link to it on the Maximite web site.
Also what hardware have you got 70x70 would not be a Maximite nor a MiniMaximite.
