Woke up this morning to a glorious sound , WIND , went out to check the logger as I left it on over night as the forcast was for strong wind , they were right for a change , from 12am to 7am - 1000watt hrs , I was running in star so switched the relays to delta which you can see the change in graph Delta all day , max peak 611w @ 420 rpm , I lowered the tower 3 times late in the afternoon to do adjustments to the tail angle and centre line of the blades to square it to the wind in 20 to 30 klm All over 8 pm , the dual stator equaled the solar today . If only that it was every day ![]() Am going to trial 60 series tomorrow , am running 80s unmodified at present , hopfully will get some more blow to see how they go....Phill... Very nice. I, too, am planning on grid-tieing the system using a Power-One inverter. ANy way you can post some pictures of the tower and pivot? |

hi phill nice data logger. i see you are using a dual stator , unmodified 80s stators in series ? in series? my first F&P i got was getting over 190volts hand spun . have u tested the unmodified f&p for grid connected, against say 7/6 or 7/3 f&ps ?? and does the PVE 1200 able to connect to a 24v battery as u have 48v one yeh? daz |

Hi Daz , I am now testing the outputs on the 60 verses the 80 , both stators are now in parallel and unmodified , I don't worry much about unloaded volts as it has no bearing on actual output when you add battries , there are no 24v grid inverters available in Aus as yet that I know of , Sunny Boy make a variable input voltage model 24v to 60v , but it is not on the viable to import list , pitty besause it would be perfect to be able to dial in the cut in Rpm's . With what I have seen of the PVE 1200 ( yes 48v only - 53.4v feed on ) it works well. I havn't done any thing with 7 phase . Is that wht u mean ? yes thanks i thought that it was 24v or 48v, ok link to energy matters http://www.renewablestore.com.au/catalog/index.php?main_page =product_info&cPath=2_23&products_id=730 also how did u wire them in delta parallel? darren |
