Hi ,,here's a pic of my testbed ,with a couple of stators ready for testing ,. The driven gearbox reduces the rpm down to around 200rpm,,I think.(I'll check with that frequency table ,,someone kindly posted)..

Hi Bruce looks pretty flash mate! Looks like youve got a fair few stators lined up to test too! Thanks again for the pic of your slip rings, is the wire going to the ground inside the tower pole coming from the hub? Im fairly new to all this and limited in my knowledge of these things but i think i get the general drift of it. Cheers Sodes

Hi Sodes,, well,thats the whole idea of the slip-ring system ,,,you can run your "away-side" wiring anywhere,,because they don't turn ,,the slip ring and brush transfers the path ..
I'll try again and re-work one of these ,using big chunky copper inpregnated brushes,,might work well ,,especially up in the 48v range.
