At last a good blow , the piclog lags the PL60 as it records data every 4 sec , 22.6 amps @ 54 V = 1220 kw

It is indeed a "Beast" among F&P's.
I think Bruce will even agree that he has been outbeasted..

Well done Phill, if I keep reading here I may be converted to F&P.

Bruce it's somewhat comforting to know that even the experts (retired) let the magic smoke escape.

It just goes to show what you can do with some old washing machine parts, scrap steel and poly pipe.

Well done mate, you've set a new benchmark.

Hi Trev & Glen ,

Thanks , it was a real buzz to watch it peaking out in the gusts , I would say the 500 RPM would be correct as in 43 Klm wind I constantly see 420 RPM , I did suffer some damage to the floating prop hub as it lost drive to the rotors as it has never had to cope with a 1.2Kw load before , so I striped the whole lot down on sat and did some mods , also cut of the seal lips and re-packed the bearings with graphite & oil , changed the tip angle to 4 deg ..

After all that it starts up in 10 to 11 Klm and keeps spinning down to 6 to 7 klm , BIG improvement for 3 blades driving 4 rotors , anyway I'll leave it there and see how it goes over the next week or so but 1.2 Kw is going to be hard to top , mabe need to add a few more rotors ...Phill..
