Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Trying to figure this out...

If I had a permanent magnet DC motor that was 180VDC, 1700rpm...then at a usable output from a mill, I'd have maybe 45vdc@425rpms, and 22.5vdc@212rpms...correct?

Am I on the right track with this line of thought?

Yes.

The max current will not change, but the power output will be down by the reduced voltage ratio.
