Hi I am planning to build my first mill and I was wondering whether it might be worth buying a purpose build Windblue alternator and electrical accessories ? has anyone got a view.

I think they are the modified alternators, I don't know what they cost but why not try something radical.

Obtain, usually for free, an F&P motor, modify it and use it, all necessary information is available on this site and wait, theres more, people willing to answer any questions you may run into.

Now what a greate way to learn, you get some imput into the generator, it's characteristics are well documented. Only one of my turbines is an F&P but they are a good learning tool at very little cost for the generator.
