Hi,

Are there any 'kitset' mills that i can buy, I don't really want to have to fabricate parts, as i don't have the skills or machinery to do so. I don't really want to buy a full completed machine either! I'm pretty handy at assembling most stuff ( IKEA poses no problems to me! )

I don't mind having to source parts from various places if thats whats required.

I'd really like somethings that was ~2kW, though i'd look at something smaller as well, maybe i could put up several mills.

Electronics is my main focus, the mechanical side of thigns eludes me!

Any pointers on a starting point would be apprecaited!

Hi Andrew; I know its a little far but have you looked at... windstuffnow.com
I live in Alaska and have built two of eds 24 volt dual alt turbines. they work great in 10 to 20 mph winds. Or if you wish you can reasearch it and build your stator to suit the kind of winds you have.
Ed, "the guy that designs and builds them is easy to deal with. He will sell you as much or as little parts as you want.
Just an idea.

Greg
