Hi Guru's...Had a thought today.

Can I convert a Windshield Motor to be a Windmill motor?

They are 12V and rated at 50RPM.
You can also get them in 24V.

I'd be interested in your thoughts.

You might find that 50RPM is after the gear reduction.
The windshield wiper motor I have here uses a worm gear which is no good to be driven from the output shaft. It would not be easy to take the worm gear off and have an accessible motor shaft.

Calculate how fast the armature spins for the 50RPM and then decide if that is in range for the windmill you have in mind.

Hi Tinker.

I'll have to check when I get one.

I also have to add I'm just in the "tinkering" stage at the moment and am trying to understand motors and stuff.
