has anybody had anything to do with wind blue 10si altinaters you can get differnt sizes just wondering if anyone has had good luck with them and how much you could expect they might put out i watched layne ericsons youtube video was fairly impressed is it possable or is there a better moter generater

Hi guitarbaby,

These alternator conversions would be a good option for micro hydro systems. The current seems to limit at 25A, so inductance limiting appears to be playing a part.

The alternator unfortunately is only a part of a successful windmill. These small high revving car type alternator conversions used in windmills, are suited to the tops of mountains or exposed beachfronts with high winds. I don't think they are really suited to areas people normally live. If you give some indication of your local wind conditions forum members may be able to offer more help.
