...just kidding about the title...but I did see a bad-ass small camper van driving along the main road through town today, with a huge windmill sticking up from the back turning very happily Edited by CraziestOzzy 2009-03-04

Did it have Tasmanian license plates and was there a sitting behind the steering wheel?

If so, I think I've just figured out Oztules' latest OU scheme.

No worries Oz - I won't spill the beans.

Actually, I was hoping for you to sell me a dealership license...

Hi feel bad for not posting for a while and now after months of testing I can let you all see our wind powered transit.

(Photo shows lock down mode as we are parked)

It works best on our west coast when we go north -south we have it on the right side and then change it to the left side for coming back up north again.

We are still trying to work out a automatic system for moving it any ideas

We get around 25wh to the European kilometer mile thing

All the best
Jimmy

In Aus, we have trouble with rego for tyres and bumpers, that are outside the body line of the vehicle. Don't know how this contraption would go as a permanent arrangement.

eirbyte, that's a dead-ringer for the van I saw, except the mill was on the back "powering" the van
I would personally put that mill you have on the back and use a sliding rail to slide the mill onto the roof rack when you need access to the rear doors.
