would any body know how to make a cheap blocking diod ro does a person just buy one

Spend a little money and buy you a Schlotzsky's diode
If your not living on the edge your taking up to much space!

Rip apart any old wall socket AC/DC transformer supply for an old mobile phone wall socket transformer (or similar old devices like toys etc that use mains power) that feels heavy compared to the newer types and you have four diodes in their busting their butts to be used :)

You do need to get one that can carry whatever amount of current you want to put through it. Matchhead epoxy ones are 1A, pea sized epoxy ones are 3A, then into the bolt down metal type. Old computer power supplies are a good source, most now look like rectangular power transistors, have to read the part number.
