The first PVC blade shipment has arrived in Australia and will be ready for market within the week. To get these blades to market the price has been set at $25 per meter for this shipment. Price does not include delivery. For strength and safety each blade requires a length of 25mm exhaust tube and a shorter length of 22mm rod, about $20 worth per blade. Add a little paint, some rivets, a hub and you can build a 2.5m to 3m turbine for around $150 to $200 ( plus delivery of course ).

I'll post more information this weekend, including how to contact the supplier ( its not me ) and some hub suggestions.

I've had a set of these blades on my windmill for the last week and I'm very confident in them. I've only had light winds here for the last week, but today I've 15 to 70 watts most of the day, with no turbine noise. These definately perform better then the 6 blade turbine I was running.
