I think I found a washer for sale that looks like it has a F&P motor in it. The washer is broken so it is not to expensive, he wants $125 Canadian for it. I will wait a few days and try and get it cheaper. Here is a link to the motor

Does that look like the right one? It is from a Samsung front loader.

We don't have a lot of these machines here in North America. I expect to have to pay for one, Oh well. Hopefully we can add some more machines to the list.

Diagram 5 shows the motor.

Its not a F&P but a similar design, and should work just fine. Looks more like the GE motor.

thanks for the quick reply.

There is a nice picture of the motor on the link page. I tried to link directly to it but I couldn't. You have to look around a bit on the page. The motor looks to just over 10 inches in diameter.

I dont know if I would pay much for it, if its broken its really not worth much more than scrap value.

$Can125.00 IS expensive for something that does not work (broken). I certainly would not pay that. Why don't you offer $5.00 to take it to the dump for him?

I can get broken F&P machines from the local recycling center (read:dump) for $A5.00 here in Australia.
Those motors are really not worth more than that, coming from a broken machine, since one never knows if the motor is still serviceable until extracting and testing it.

Hi heynow999 are you sure this is a used washer because this site sells O.E.M. new parts for appliances. This is a Maytag motor WF306LAW you can find WF306LAW motors in most all brands here in the U.S. they are fairly new machines though. I have been looking around to find a used WF306LAW without any luck but they have to be out there somewhere because everything breakes down sometimes.

If your not living on the edge your taking up to much space!

I know I hate to pay for it, but there just arn't many of these machines around. I am going to offer $50. To clear things up, the machine is here

But the previous link is for a parts place where I looked up the model to see if it looked right.

It reall is hard to find those machines here. I have looked at many appliance places, been snooping around the back doors looking for ones that are going for scrap. Of course I would always ask and offer cash before I took anything. I did find one place that had a newer one with a big dent in it. They wouldn't sell it to me. They were keeping it for parts.
