Hello,

Yes I am a new person here on the forum. I live in Texas in the USA. My background is in mechanical and not electrical so a lot of what I am reading here is way over my head but I hope to learn here.

My area has a lot of sunshine and a fair amount of wind so I want to combine wind and sun in a renewable energy system to reduce my electric bill.

I figure this is a long project of at least a year or more so I will be hanging around here to learn.

I see a lot of posts concerning the F&P motor and that is what I have been looking at for my first project so keep posting on the F&P so I can learn all that I need to get this done.

So Hi to all,

Hi WendallB, welcome to the site.

I've been to Texas. Well, the Dallas international air port at least. Had to run like a mad man to catch the next flight, thats a big airport!

There is a guy in the USA who has stocks of the F&P motors...

Hello Gizmo,

Thanks for the welcome and yes DFW airport is very large and I try very hard not to go there.

I am familiar with Randys Workshop and will probably buy a F&P motor from him when I get ready to get this project started.

I am working on getting all my ducks in a row and learn as much as I can before I jump in and mess something up. As I said my background is mechanical and I have a lot to learn about the electrical side.

All the Best,

WendallB
