The following data is + or - 5% , but gives a general idea of each motor at various voltages. If the result is
N/A startup is over 500rpm (not worth doing).
These results are pure rewinding no added bits such as capacitors. BUT all results have had the stator manually decogged !

100S 12v star: 40%
100s 12v delta: 55%

100s 24v star: 60%
100s 24v delta: 70%

100s 48v star: 75%
100s 48v delta: 85%

100sp 12v star: 75%
100sp 12v delta: N/A

100sp 24v star: N/A
100sp 24v delta: N/A

80s 12v star: 45% decreasing to 25%
80s 12v delta: 25%

80s 24v star: 40%
80s 24v delta: 40%

80s 48v star: 58%
80s 48v delta: 60%

80sp 12v star: 63%
80sp 12v delta: 75%

80sp 24v star: 85%
80sp 24v delta: 90% but 480rpm startup

80sp 48v star: N/A
80sp 48v Delta: N/A

80p 12v star: 78%
80p 12v delta: N/A

80p for 24v & 48v N/A

60s 12v star: 15%
60s 12v delta: 25%

60s 24v star: 28%
60s 24v Delta: 40%

60s 48v star: 43%
60s 48v delta: 55%

60sp 12v star: 55%
60sp 12v delta: 60%

60sp 24v star: 75%
60sp 24v delta: 85%

GENERAL RULE: anything under 50% has low power.

Good combos for charging batteries with a lawn mower
engine are as follows . lawn mower rpms are approx 3500rpm with 2:1 gear bring rpm back to 1750rpm.
then use 80sp 24v delta 1kw. 100p 48v delta 1kw.
60p 48v star 750watt(3:1).

It must have taken ages to do all this testing. How did you test the different combinations.

here are a few test results regarding F&P efficiency:

torque input x rpm versus dc charging.

so the loss includes bearing friction and rectifier loss:
tested on a lathe setup:

F&P 60DS 1S-12P delta 12 volt:

@ 346rpm , charging 6.5amps 68% efficiency
@ 950rpm charging 35amps 64% efficiency

F&P 80SP delta 12 volt
@ 346rpm charging 10 amps 71% efficiency
@ 950rpm charging 32 amps 65% efficiency
