Hi Hugh

F&P is the maker Fisher and Paykel, a New Zealand company now also available in Australia and I believe the US. The machines we are interested in are the 'Smart Drive' range.

Hi Hugh, I have found out that here in canada, sears kenmore oasis washing machines have the F&P smart drive motors in them.

would you know the model of oasis washer that is, getting the info from Sears is impossible.

That is all the info I have is the Kenmore oasis, I also found one in the LG line of washing machines.
Get a picture of the F&P motor and take it to applanice repair shop and ask them for any used ones they come across. The last repair guy I talked to told me that a lot of the new fridges have PM brushless fan motors,don't know if they will be good for anything but I will let you know when I get my hands on one.
