Well its taken a while, but finally cracked the 100,000 visitor mark.

The hit counter is a true visitor count, so if someone visits the web site it will only increment 1, even if they browse around the site and go back to the front page.

Now for the next big milestone, 1,000,000 visitors, but that could take a little longer

Per session? Or forever? Do you count visits from the same provider (through a proxy) as one visitor, even if there were multiple client browsers being used?

Lol, yes, that will take a little longer.

I just clocked 7,682,230 after a mere 11 years 8 months!

Hi Ross

Its per session, so the cookie remains active untill they close their browser. The session is only started on the front page, so it misses the visitors that jump straight to other pages within the site, buts thats ok. The actual page requests is much higher, there are 1400 to 1800 "page impressions" per day currently, September last year it was about 500 to 600 impressions per day, so the site is growing.
