Hi,
Has anyone used a viscous coupling as a brake to limit the overspeed on a wind generator? I am suggesting connecting the back of the motor to the coupling, and locking the output of the coupling. With the right oil the friction would be very small (inconsequential ??) at low speeds and only have an effect at high speeds.Edited by espresso 2007-03-04
