Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi All
I am a Carpenter and Joiner also and as such I always use secondhand select joiners grade oregon for my blades.
You will find that it is not possible to readily change between 3,4,or 5 blades. This is because the mountings will be different and the balancing will change all over the place.
It is suggested that you build/carve as many blades including a few rubbish ones to get the feel for it. Then towards the end of the carve you will be able to weigh and finish to a near perfect set/sets.
It is not easy and you will understand this as you progress through it.
